The Country Gentlemen, Moodus, CT, Aug 9, 1997 (Soundboard)

The Country Gentlemen are a taperfriendly Bluegrass Band allowing live recordings to be shared freely as contributing partners of The Steam Powered Preservation Society
which tries to preserve a lot of bluegrass performances for future reference/listening and can always use some financial support.

From Wikipedia:
"The Country Gentlemen play music ranging from traditional bluegrass to pop, sometimes adapting music from other genres to their bluegrass style. They also borrowed from the folk genre with songs such as Gordon Lightfoot's "Redwood Hill" and Steve Goodman's "City of New Orleans."
Several of the band’s songs ("Two Little Boys," "Bringing Mary Home," "New Freedom Bell," "Matterhorn," "Fox on the Run," "Legend of the Rebel Soldier," and many others) have become bluegrass standards."



I do not know if this specific recording is also housed/shared at The Steam Powered Preservation Society (have not been able to access their FTP server for days) - I received my copy of this excellent sounding tape via Bittorrent.
